Are You Living With Celiac Disease?

Many people that are suffering with a multitude of symptoms may not realize that they are actually dealing with Celiac Disease. This disease presents itself with many symptoms that are alike those of a lot of other diseases. This is one reason that many people have this problem for years without knowing it. All they know is that they feel really bad a great portion of the time.

Those that have Celiac may experience diarrhea every time they eat. They might have chest pains, abdominal cramps, and constant gas associated with bloating. They might also have joint pain that is like that of arthritis. Depression is another kind of symptom that Celiac disease causes.

All these kinds of symptoms are caused from the inflammation in the intestinal lining. This inflammation is from the gluten in wheat products and can cause severe pain at times in the abdominal area. Because of the tissue being inflamed, the intestines cannot absorb nutrients from foods. This in turn causes many other conditions to arise.

Making sure to eat a gluten free diet is the only treatment to resolve this inflammation in the intestines. Staying on a diet like this is imperative in avoiding the many other diseases you can be subject to from Celiac. While there many foods that contain gluten, there are also a lot of foods that do not. The best thing to do is to talk to your doctor about the kind of diet you need to stay on.

Living with Celiac disease does not mean that you have to be deprived of all the good kinds of food. You can find recipes online that will melt in your mouth and not hurt you in any way. For those people that have not yet been properly diagnosed with this disease but do have many of its symptoms make sure to get to your doctor.

My Gluten-free Weight loss: Day 1

Today is day one of my gluten-free weight loss journey. This week I am focusing on cutting out bread and pasta, the first big hurdles and a good start.
